Summer Band Camp

The Eichelberger Music Camp for Wind Instruments, a day-camp for flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, french horn, trombone and tuba players entering grades 6 – 10 in the fall of 2026, will take place at the Eich the week of June 29, 2026 during the hours of 9:00 am until 12:00 noon, with a culminating performance at 2:00 pm on Friday July 3, 2026. Students will spend the week playing in the Summer Camp Orchestra and chamber ensembles, as well as participating in instrument masterclass demonstrations by members of the Hanover Symphony Orchestra, ear-training classes, small-group musicianship training, and individual technique instruction. Topics in ensembles and classes will include, but are not limited to, proper playing position and posture, music literacy, simple and compound rhythm, finger patterns and techniques, bow markings and techniques, tone production, and non-verbal communication/teamwork in both small and large ensemble settings.
